A former Toronto mayor’s house is on the market for $17.7 million
A piece of Toronto’s political history is up for sale. The onetime home of former Toronto mayor George Reginald Geary is listed for a cool $17.7 million through Sotheby’s.
Its eight-figure price tag puts the mayoral manor among the most expensive homes for sale right now in Toronto, where the average resale price was $916,567 as of March, according to the local real estate board.
It also makes it considerably pricier than Donald Trump’s childhood home, which sold for a picayune-by-comparison $2.14 million USD just last month, the New York Times reports.
